| 2.Wall Mounted, Liquid Cooled PC Its been a while (1.5 yrs) since I updated my computer. I thought about upgrading to the next gen i7 (I'm still rocking the bloomfield), but didn't really see the need for a faster processor. Thought about getting the new Corsair 900D to replace my 8 year old Super Armor, but wanted to do something different.. something unique. While browsing Battlestations on Reddit for ideas, I came across a very simple yet elegant looking wall mounted computer, and that is where this whole project began....[More] |
| 3.Awesome Wall-mounted Custom PC with Beautiful Liquid-cooling SystemThis nicely put together wall-mounted PC is ultimately the goal of many custom computer builders. Recoil P -owner of this system- calls it “The RecoilMachine”, which took him over 2 months to order and assemble the rig. Also according to Recoil P, he uses Plexiglass as the backplate for each component before having them planted firmly on a large vinyl-clad hardboard.
RecoilMachine has single loop water-cooling setup, Gigabyte EX58-UDP5, Intel Core i7 920 Socket-1366, Asus GTX 590, Samsung 250GB 840 EVO SSD, Western Digital 1TB Caviar Black and Seagate 1TB additional storage....[More] |
| 4.Orange Gaming Case Liquid CoolingThe dimensions of the case are: depth - 680mm, width - 230mm, height - 620mm and because of its size, will probably be constructed from aluminum. It can accommodate a 480 (120.4) rad in the top and a 360 (120.3) rad in the bottom. The case width would allow a push-pull configuration of 38mm fans, 38mm shrouds, rad of choice, 38mm shrouds, and 38mm fans. There is enough room for a long PSU if required, and the motherboard tray will except an extended ATX motherboard. There are 3 5.25" drive bays and room for 4 HDD's. Case cooling is provided by a single 200mm intake fan at the front, a single 120mm exhaust fan at the rear, plus the flow provided by the PSU fan....[More] |
| 5.Hardline Liquid-Cooling a PCWhy choose a hardline liquid-cooled computer? Well because it’s the coolest — seriously. No, literally. It’s the top-of-the-line customization/cooling strategy you can implement to get the maximum output from your high performance gaming computer. Just like a car, all that digital horsepower needs an outlet, like an exhaust. Where do electrons and heat go? What prevents your PC from bursting into flames? |
| 6.Tripple Loop Liquid CoolingI spun up to the good ol' Home Depot and picked up some wood, a square that was actually square and a few new bits for my router. I have a few sheets of 1/4" cast acrylic (white, clear, black) floating around, so I'll work into incorporating those as well. I'll probably end up using them as pedestals for each individual component, toss in some LED strips, some sort of black backing and call it a day. The benefit that I have right now is that I have 95% of the components for the build, so most of my time will be spent fabricating mounts, drilling holes, cursing myself and driving back and forth to the hospital....[More] |
| 7.The Big O: a liquid-cooled PC and Xbox 360 in one caseThe Big O gives you serious bragging rights, but costs far too much to even consider by most gamers. The base configuration is more than enough to handle any game you throw at the machine, with the top configuration verging on the ridiculous including 4 graphics cards, dual Xeon processors, two PSUs, 12GB of RAM, and four SSD drives in RAID....[More] |
